December 29th, 2009 · No Comments

Harris County Court at Law Judge Donald Jackson was convicted of official oppression.  Official oppression is a misdemeanor crime in Texas.  Jackson received a thirty day sentence and two years of probation, however, he has appealed the decision.  Jackson officially resigned from his judicial position effective this week.  After he was indicted in August, Jackson was suspended by the State Commission but still received his salary while the case was pending.
